8:03 a.m., May 13, 2009----The New Castle County Alumni Club will gather at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, on the northwest sundeck of the Washington House on Main Street in Newark.
Special guest speaker will be Jim Baeurle, UD alumnus and former owner of the Stone Balloon, once a popular nightclub that stood on the site of the Washington House.
Registration is $15, which includes food and wine.
Also, the club will be collecting items to send to Blue Hens serving in Iraq with the 261st Signal Brigade.
