7:56 a.m., May 4, 2009----The Writing Center Journal (WCJ), the premier scholarly journal for writing center studies, has just distributed its first issue from its new institutional home at the University of Delaware.
Co-editor Melissa Ianetta, director of the University of Delaware Writing Center, with colleague Lauren Fitzgerald at Yeshiva University, were awarded the coveted co-editorship of the journal in early fall 2008.
In short order, Ianetta assembled a production team that includes a graduate student position as associate editor, an undergraduate assistant editor, writing center faculty as editorial assistants and writing center administrative staff.
“What emerged from these collaborations is the debut of a prestigious journal attired in a strikingly modern graphic style, containing the latest breaking scholarship in the field of writing studies,” Ianetta said of the work of the production team.
The new issue is Volume 29, No. 1.
