In “Get Twisted,” students will twist around each other on a giant floor mat to reach brightly-colored caricatures of a designated organ -- heart, lung, kidney, or liver -- symbolizing how organ donors intertwine their lives with those of others.

The event highlights the importance of organ and tissue donation and encourages students to register online as donors.

The Gift of Life Donor Program, the region's organ and tissue donor program, is sponsoring the event in collaboration with student organizations.

For more information about the “Get Twisted” event and to sign up as an organ and tissue donor, visit this Web site. It only takes about 90 seconds and one person can save or enhance 50 lives.
