11:59 a.m., May 28, 2009----The 54th annual DFRC Blue-Gold All-Star Football Game, featuring the top high school seniors in the state, will be played Saturday, June 20, at Tubby Raymond Field at Delaware Stadium on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
Proceeds of the game benefit programs that enrich the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disabilities through grants provided by DFRC.
Tickets for the game can be purchased at any Delaware Grotto Pizza location, B&B Tickettown, Forney's Too in Dover, or any Delaware Lions Club. Tickets can also be purchased directly from DFRC online or by calling (302) 454-2730.
Gov. Jack Markell is scheduled to purchase his game ticket Wednesday, June 3, during a ceremony in the governor's office in Legislative Hall.
Joining the governor will be this year's All-Star Buddies, Alexander Brathwaite and Elizabeth Lokaj-Sartori, along with their mothers, Cheryl Roach and Carol Lokaj-Sartori.
Also in attendance will be Pat Weaver, game chair for the 54th annual Blue-Gold All-Star Football Game; Mary Lenhoff, first vice chair; and DFRC Executive Director Tony Glenn.
