10:55 a.m., May 8, 2009----The University of Delaware's New Castle County Alumni Club will participate in the Relay for Life event being held Saturday, May 16, at the Delaware Field House.
New Castle County Alumni Club members should check in at the alumni table in the Delaware Field House lobby at 4:30 p.m. They will then walk the track with UD Spirit Ambassadors at 5 p.m.
Pizza will be distributed to the participants at 6.

The Office of Alumni Relations is beginning preparations for the first event for its first international club, the London Alumni Club.

The Philadelphia Alumni Club will hold a young alumni happy hour on Thursday, May 14, at Mad River old Old City, Philadelphia. Mad River is offered specials for UD alumni. For details, see the club Web site.
The New Castle County Alumni Club will hold an event at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, on the northwest sundeck of the Washington House on Main Street in Newark. Special guest speaker will be Jim Baeurle, UD alumnus and former owner of the Stone Balloon, which formerly stood on the site of the Washington House. Registration is $15 which includes food and wine. Also, the club will be collecting items to send to Blue Hens serving in Iraq with the 261st Signal Brigade. For details, see the club Web site.
