8:27 a.m., May 20, 2009----Discover Understand Change, an awareness event on conflicts in Central Africa, will be held from noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, on the University of Delaware's North Green.
The event aims to raise awareness about conflicts in Central Africa and to raise funds for various charities whose work will help those in those areas of Africa.
The event will feature speakers, bands and special activities. Alison Jones, co-founder and director of advocacy for ResolveUganda will speak at 2:45 p.m., Patrick Mwerinde, UD assistant professor of mathematic sciences, will speak at 4 p.m. and Ydia Natoolo of Uganda will speak at 4:55 p.m.
