11:54 a.m., March 26, 2009----A free University of Delaware Employee Health and Wellness Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, in Multipurpose Rooms B and C of the Trabant University Center.

With the advent of spring, it is time to rejuvenate and begin again, starting with your health, according to a representative of the HealthyU employee wellness program, which is sponsoring the expo.

The event will provide a wide variety of health, fitness and nutrition information from more than 40 exhibitors from the both the University and the community. There also will be several giveaways.

The expo will feature a "Screening Zone". For just 10 Wellness Dollars, participants can receive a variety of health screenings that include: vision, bone density, blood pressure/stroke assessment and a spinal analysis. Avoid the line for screenings and pre-register using the link at this Web page. Upon registering, a wristband will be mailed to you for you to wear for quick entrance into the "zone."

All attendees of the Health and Wellness Expo will receive a goody bag filled with coupons and valuable information, as well as a raffle ticket. Donated prizes - including massages, designer eye wear and fitness apparel -- will be raffled off throughout the day.
