8:45 a.m., March 24, 2009----The Global Agenda 2009 series, titled “Tinderbox: Understanding the Middle East,” will continue with a presentation by Dana Shell Smith at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, in Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Smith is a U.S. Foreign Service officer and this summer she will begin serving at the State Department's media liaison office in Dubai. Fluent in Arabic, she will be one of a select few U.S. officials who will appear regularly on Arab news shows to present America's point of view.
