Joe Flacco, former quarterback for the Blue Hens, was featured in a June 9 Catholic Review story about a visit by members of the Baltimore Ravens to Good Samaritan Hospital's Child Development Center.
Willett Kemptom, associate professor of marine policy, was quoted in a June 9 American Public Media Marketplace story about the “blue economy,” or marine-related jobs such as offshore wind and aquaculture.
John Byrne, director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy, was cited in a June 9 PV-Tech Daily News story about a keynote address “New Energy for New Weather” delivered during the IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference in Philadelphia.
Patrick Harker, UD president, Monica Taylor, vice president of development and alumni relations, David Brond, vice president of communications and marketing, and alumni David Stephens, Bill Mavity, Kathy Tordella O'Connor, Mindy Shelkowsky Pitonyak and Debra Gordon Rossetti were quoted in a June 8 News Journal story about the Forum & Reunion Weekend. "The alumni community should be your chief marketers; they should be the people out there telling your story," Harker told the newspaper. "Imagine 140,000 people armed with the facts, out there wearing UD sweat shirts and telling people the UD story."
Charles Elson, Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, was quoted in a June 8 St. Paul Pioneer Press story about bonuses for CEOs in Minnesota. Elson also was quoted in a June 6 San Jose Mercury News story about Silicon Valley companies relying less on stock options to reward top executives. In addition, Elson was quoted in a June 11 article on executive compensation in the News Journal.
Julio Carrion, acting chairperson of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, was quoted in a June 8 Wall Street Journal story about a crisis in Peru, where police clashed with Amazon indigenous groups.
