11:32 a.m., June 9, 2009----The University of Delaware's Office of Admissions is seeking positive, enthusiastic UD students to assist with three campus open houses during the Delaware Discovery Days program. The dates are July 11, July 18 and July 25.

The students will supplement the summer Blue Hen Ambassador program and must commit to two of the three dates, although Admissions would prefer a commitment to all three dates. Students also must be able to attend a training session on either July 6 or July 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Discovery Days include a major exploration, access to admissions officers, tour of campus, and survey of activities and groups UD has to offer prospective students and their families.

Students interested in this position must possess the following qualities:

• Pride in the University of Delaware;
• Positive, enthusiastic, and confident attitude;
• Good communication skills;
• Reliability and dependability;
• Patience, tact, flexibility, and diplomacy (especially under pressure);
• Ability to think/work independently, while still understanding the needs of the team;
• Common sense;
• Creativity and a sense of humor; and
• A UD cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or better.
