10:57 a.m., June 19, 2009----A stained glass window will be dedicated in honor of Monsignor Michael Szupper, Catholic chaplain emeritus at the University of Delaware, at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, at the St. Thomas More Oratory, 45 Lovett Ave.
The window was created by Willet Hauser Architectural Glass and is a replication of a Good Shepherd painting by Sister Carmella Rall, a Benedictine nun from Tuscon, Ariz.
The window is in memory of Anthony and Louise Szupper, Monsignor Szupper's parents, and in honor of Monsignor Szupper, founding pastor and Catholic chaplain at UD from 1964-2006.
Monsignor Szupper arrived on the UD campus in 1964 following graduate school at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and headed up the Catholic Campus Ministry for the next 42 years.
