3:11 p.m., Dec. 17, 2008----The University of Delaware Library will present a series of workshops during Winter Session for faculty, staff and researchers on research funding.
The workshops will focus on two library databases, Foundation Directory Online and COS Funding Opportunities, which faculty, staff, and graduate students can use to identify potential funding resources, such as grants from private foundations, corporations and public charities.
The research funding workshops will cover strategies for searching the databases, procedures for using alerting services and RSS feeds and locating additional grant information on the Internet. Both databases are available on the Library Databases web page.
The workshops will be held in the Library Instruction Room, Room 116A on the first floor of the Morris Library, and each workshop in this series below is tailored to meet the needs of specific communities of scholarship.
The workshop Tuesday, Jan. 13, to be held from 2-3:30 p.m., will focus on research funding for arts and humanities scholars.
The workshop Thursday, Jan. 15, to be held from 10-11:30 a.m., will be tailored to meet the needs of those within the social science disciplines.
The workshop Tuesday, Feb. 3, to be held from 10-11:30 a.m., will focus on funding for the sciences.
This workshop series is co-sponsored by the University of Delaware Research Office and the presenter will be Carol Rudisell, librarian in the Reference Department of the University of Delaware Library.
