11:30 a.m., Dec. 3, 2008----The University of Delaware will conduct a test of the emergency notification system at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5.
The University will test the carillon emergency messaging tool, which will play a voice-recorded message over the carillon system, the cable television override tool, which allows UD to override all the cable TV channels on the campus cable network with an emergency message, and the classroom projection override tool.
The classroom projection override tool is a notification method that will directly affect lectures, as it remotely controls the audio-visual equipment in classrooms on the central schedule.
