3:36 p.m., Aug. 25, 2008----The University of Delaware Library will offer workshops regarding “Teaching with Media--Instructional Media Resources for Instructors” from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, with the session repeated from 2-3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, in the Instructional Media Collection Department in the Morris Library.
The sessions will provide an overview of film and video resources and services, with a focus on classroom instructional support and research. They will consider how media can be incorporated into teaching, what films and videos are available for class viewing and how videos can be checked out.
Each session will begin with a tour of the Instructional Media Collection Department facilities on the lower level of the Morris Library, which include viewing carrels, a viewing room, the collections area and the Media Research Room. Participants will be shown how to search the Media Collection in DELCAT and will be given an online tour of the Instructional media Web site.
To register online, go to [http://www2.lib.udel.edu/usered/workshops/current.htm]. For more information, send e-mail to [lib-workshops@udel.edu] or call (302) 831-2432.
