The Barnes Foundation, home to one of the world's largest collections of Impressionist, post-Impressionist and early Modern paintings, will soon be moving to a new facility in Philadelphia, and this trip gives an opportunity to see the collection in its original setting at the Barnes Mansion.

The exhibition, "Cezanne and Beyond," at the Philadelphia Museum of Art features 40 paintings and 20 watercolors and drawings by Cezanne, alongside works by several artists he influenced. The critically acclaimed exhibit is closing May 31.

Costs for the trip, which includes transportation and discounted admission tickets to both exhibits, are $40 for students and $44 for adults. Advance payment by check or cash may be made with Angela Davidson, secretary in the Department of Art, in Room 104 of Recitation Hall. Prepayment for all tickets must be received by noon, Monday, April 27.

The bus will be leaving campus at 9:15 a.m. and returning around 7 p.m.

Trip participants should note the following restrictions:

At the Barnes Collection, food is not permitted in the buildings or on the grounds; all coats, jackets, bags and parcels must be checked in a secure personal locker before entering the collection; shoes with heels smaller than 2 inches in diameter are not permitted into the gallery; and sketching and photography are not permitted.

At the Cezanne exhibit, visitors must get in line to see the exhibit, and groups are permitted to enter every 30 minutes, with the last group entering at 4:30 p.m.
