Southern UDelaware was mailed to Delaware Today subscribers in Southern Delaware through a joint venture, and also will be available at many locations in the region.

UD's strategic plan, the Path to ProminenceTM, features as it first guiding principle “Delaware First,” an assurance that every Delawarean will have access to a top-quality education, and that the strengths and resources of the University will be applied to benefit the greater Delaware community. Underscoring UD's commitment to the entire state is the inclusion of a key milestone: “To increase the University's presence and engagement in Southern Delaware.”

“UD has a strong presence and a long tradition of service in, and alumni from, Kent and Sussex Counties. This magazine is one way of demonstrating the depth of UD's commitment and engagement in this region of the state. We expect the University's relationship with Southern Delaware will grow even stronger in the years ahead,” states David Brond, vice president of communications and marketing.
