Games will begin at 11 a.m. in Gyms 1 and 2 of the Carpenter Sports Building. The tournament fee is $10 per player, with all profits going to the UD Sport Management Program.

The tournament will be in a 3-on-3 format with teams organized into four divisions: men's elite, men's recreational, women's, and faculty and staff. Each team will be guaranteed three games, and every player will receive a tournament T-shirt.

Promotional events include competitions in three-point shots, slam dunks and skills. Prizes donated by local merchants will be awarded to division and promotion winners.

“Our goal is to enrich the University of Delaware community in a fun, safe and competitive environment,” said Tim DeSchriver, associate professor in UD's sport management program and tournament director. “Our sport management students are using knowledge obtained through their academic curriculum in organizing the event while also gaining valuable hands-on experience.”

Teams can register at a registration table in the Carpenter Sports Building or at event kiosks in the Trabant University Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates: April 15, April 21 and April 30. Registration closes on Thursday, April 30.

For more information, contact DeSchriver at (302) 831-2737 or [deschriv@udel.edu], or visit the event Web site.
