12:35 p.m., April 17, 2009----The University of Delaware Department of Music will present two concerts -- the UD Symphonic Band on Wednesday, April 22, and Schola Cantorum on Sunday, April 26.
The Symphonic Band will perform at 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, in the Puglisi Orchestra Hall of the Roselle Center for the Arts on Orchard Road in Newark.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and alumni and $3 for students and are available at the University box offices at the Trabant University Center and the Bob Carpenter Center. Call (302) 831-4012 for box office hours.
Heidi Sarver, associate professor of music, will direct.
The Schola Cantorum concert will be held at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, April 26, at First Presbyterian Church on West Main Street in Newark.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and alumni and $3 for students and will be available at the door.
On the program are English anthems and Benjamin Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb with David Herman, Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music, on the organ.
Paul D. Head, chairperson of the Department of Music, will direct.
