11:18 a.m., April 6, 2009----The University of Delaware's Bank of America Career Services Center and the University Council on Teacher Education will hold two career fairs with a focus on positions in education on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The two events bring recruiters from dozens of school districts to campus to meet and/or interview candidates for fall 2009 positions as teachers, administrators and specialists.

Teach in Delaware Day will be held from 12:30 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, featuring representatives from Delaware schools and school districts.

Project Search will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, and will include representatives from Delaware schools and also from school districts throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and also more distant states. In addition to Delaware, states to be represented include Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Registration is free to University of Delaware students and alumni. A $5 registration fee is charged for all non-UD affiliated individuals.

Registration for Teach in Delaware Day is from12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and registration for Project Search is from 8 to 9 a.m. On-site interview scheduling begins at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday and at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, so it is imperative that candidates arrive early each day to register.
