1:15 p.m., April 27, 2009----The Delaware Center for Health Promotion, a joint initiative between the state and the University of Delaware, invites the campus community to participate in the third annual Be Healthy Delaware Day on Thursday, May 21.
This is a simple free activity that anyone who lives or works in Delaware can join.
Simply choose one of five healthy habits on the center's list that you don't currently do, such as eating more fruits and vegetables or being active for 30 minutes. Then commit to "try" that behavior wherever you happen to be on May 21.
Everyone who registers will be entered into a random drawing for prizes, including a one-year membership to the YMCA of Delaware and a Wii Fit system.
Be Healthy Delaware Day is co-sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware.
For more information, and to register, go to the Be Healthy Delaware Web site or call (302) 831-1998. Registration deadline is May 20.
