Breakfast Roundtable Title: "Green" Policies: Local Initiatives and Public Reactions

Sample Theme: The purpose of this roundtable is to discuss current and recent initiatives by local governments to institute "green" policies. The discussion will consider the types of policies being enacted, their effectiveness, and public reactions to these measures. Issues such as environmental politics and sustainability at the local level will be examined. The discussion leader(s) have been directly involved in a range of local initiatives in the Portland, Oregon area dealing with emission reduction, recycling, and clean fuel public transit programs.
