Sunday Shuttle Service
from the Wilmington train station to campus
Sunday Shuttle service from the Wilmington train station to the Newark campus begins on September 7, 2009 and runs through May 23, 2010.*
- Reserve a spot. You can call 831-1187 or use Online Registration.
- To confirm your seat, reservations must be made by noon the Friday before you want to use the service.
- Catch the bus at 5:15pm and 6:15 from Wilmington on the west side of the train station.
- The fee can be paid on the bus. Cash or FLEX will be accepted. IDs will be required, so please have them available.
- Students picked up at the train station will be dropped off at the following locations: Perkins, Pencader, Christiana Towers, Rodney/Dickinson, and Smith.
* No service December 20 & 27, January 17, or March 28
Your Safety is our most important concern!
For your safety and that of others, thank you for observing the following:
- Stay back from the curb until the bus comes to a complete stop.
- Cross the street behind the bus. This help you to see, and to be seen by other motorists.
- Do not walk between two stopped buses.
- When driving another vehicle, do not pass a stopped bus unless you are in a passing zone.
- Be ready to get on or off the bus when it stops. Drivers are instructed not to open the doors again once they begin to re-enter traffic.
- Drivers are instructed to load and unload at bus stops only.
- If standing, please move to the center of the bus. Drivers are instructed not to move the bus with people standing in unsafe locations on the bus.
