Shuttles to Colin Powell Lecture
Special shuttle to serve Bob Carpenter Center for Nov. 3 event

Former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell will give a public lecture on the University of Delaware's Newark campus on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center. The speech will be followed by a question and answer session.
Shuttles begin running at 7 p.m. from Perkins Student Center, Smith Hall Overpass/Gore Hall and Christiana Towers. Shuttles will pick up at the Field House and continue until one hour after the event ends. Evening Route 1 will also run on a regular schedule.
Shuttles will pick up/drop off as follows:

- Stay back from the curb until the bus comes to a complete stop.
- Cross the street behind the bus. This help you to see, and to be seen by other motorists.
- Do not walk between two stopped buses.
- When driving another vehicle, do not pass a stopped bus unless you are in a passing zone.
- Be ready to get on or off the bus when it stops. Drivers are instructed not to open the doors again once they begin to re-enter traffic.
- Drivers are instructed to load and unload at bus stops only.
- If standing, please move to the center of the bus. Drivers are instructed not to move the bus with people standing in unsafe locations on the bus.
