Where can I use paybyphone on campus?
paybyphone is currently a pilot program on campus that can be used at meters south of Morris Library or on the north end of Robinson Drive.
Does it cost more to paybyphone than if I put quarters in the meter?
No, parking meter rates are not different. However, there is a $.35 convenience and text reminder fee per transaction using paybyphone. Users can opt out of the $.10 text reminder fee and just pay the $.25 transaction fee.
Are there limits for parking at the meter?
Yes, users can pay to park at any meter for up to 2 hours.
Can I still use quarters in the meter?
Yes, University meters will still accept quarters as payment. paybyphone gives the user additional payment options.
I paid for my parking via the paybyphone system, but the meter is still flashing 0:00; why didn't it work?
It did work. The meter is paid and Parking Services staff will be able to see the payment on their handheld devices. The display on the meter will not show the payment.
