End of Spring and Summer 2012
Shuttle buses will end normal academic operations Thursday, May 24, 2012. Thursday, May 24th through Sunday, June 3rd red and blue permit holders can park in gold lots. When classes are not in session red permits are valid in gold lots.
Beginning Monday, June 4, 2012, blue permits will be valid in gold lots through August 24, 2012. Red permit holders wishing to park in gold lots should bring their current permit to Parking Services on or after June 1st and obtain gold parking. The value of the red permit will be applied to the cost of the gold permit. (Permit changes/upgrades cannot be done online).

Parking permits can be purchased online and mailed to an address of your choice. To begin parking immediately, a short term permit can be printed at the time of purchase.
Parking changes for 2011-2012
The pay lot validation program was upgraded as of July 1 so that self-service pay stations can be utilized by validated customers. See the UDaily article at http://www.udel.edu/udaily/2011/may/campus-pay-lots052511.html.
The pay lot/garage fee structure was standardized beginning fall semester.
Visitor passes are available online for varying durations and fees. Please note that visitors must obtain their own pass online.
Central Zone expanded to include lots 22, 21, 48, 15, 46 and 16, encompassing the area of campus bounded by Main Street, Elkton Road, Park Place and Haines Street.
Laird Campus parking: 150 Blue and Red spaces became available in Lot 7. 50 Blue spaces in Lot 7 are now resident student parking.
Blue permit holders are able to purchase Central day passes in addition to Gold passes.
All University parking meters will be active 24 hours a day.
Campus Construction & Road Closure Update
- Beginning October 11, 2010, lane expansion will begin on Elkton Road from Delaware Avenue to Casho Mill Road and may cause delays. The construction is expected to be complete in 2013.
- Lot 26 Alison Circle will be closed December 26, 2011 for approximately 18 months due to building renovations.
- Lot 25 between Alison and 200 Academy Street will have an altered parking configuration through Summer 2013.
- The parking area in Lot 20 between Mechanical Hall and Carpenter Sports Building will close permanently in April 2012 for the expansion of the building.
- Lot 53 will have 30 additional central spaces when the the gate lot is reduced in size by one drive lane for Spring 2012.
