Charter Bus Service Information
Transportation Services at the University of Delaware provides charter bus service to the University community. Each department or University student group that wishes to use the service must provide authorization by submitting a Request for Service Web Form. Before submitting a request, it is necessary to contact the Transportation Service office to ensure availability. This form must be received at least one week prior to the date of service.
CHARTER BUS RATES
Charter Bus Service rates for the academic year 2009-2010 are as follows:
University Departments and Student Organizations: $18.75 per hour, plus $1.30 per mile with a three hour minimum.
Camp Service: $19.69 per hour, plus $1.37 per mile with a three hour minimum.
External Groups: $20.63 per hour, plus $1.43 per mile with a three hour minimum.

Your Safety is our most important concern!
For your safety and that of others, thank you for observing the following:
- Stay back from the curb until the bus comes to a complete stop.
- Cross the street behind the bus. This help you to see, and to be seen by other motorists.
- Do not walk between two stopped buses.
- When driving another vehicle, do not pass a stopped bus unless you are in a passing zone.
- Be ready to get on or off the bus when it stops. Drivers are instructed not to open the doors again once they begin to re-enter traffic.
- Drivers are instructed to load and unload at bus stops only.
- If standing, please move to the center of the bus. Drivers are instructed not to move the bus with people standing in unsafe locations on the bus.
