Charter Bus Service Information
Transportation Services at the University of Delaware provides charter bus service to the University community. Each department or University student group that wishes to use the service must provide authorization by submitting a Request for Service Web Form. Before submitting a request, it is necessary to contact the Transportation Service office to ensure availability. This form must be received at least one week prior to the date of service.
CHARTER BUS RATES
Charter Bus Service rates for the academic year 2011-2012 are as follows:
University Departments and Student Organizations: $29.50 per hour, plus $1.43 per mile with a three hour minimum.
Camp Service: $30.50 per hour, plus $1.50 per mile with a three hour minimum.
External Groups: $31.50 per hour, plus $1.58 per mile with a three hour minimum.
COACH BUSES
Additionally, coach buses are available through a contract with Delaware Express.
The buses provided are 47- or 56-passenger buses with a bathroom. Rates vary and a $25 administration fee is assessed.
Cancellation policy for Delaware Express: No charge if cancelled up to 3 days before the trip (not including the day of the trip).
