The University's Bank of America Career Services Center, located at 401 Academy St., offers a career library, workshops on interviewing and resume writing, full- and part-time job referrals and field experience opportunities, as well as opportunities for volunteerism. An active employer outreach program attracts a wide array of organizations to job fairs and a campus interview program. University of Delaware students have outstanding rates of success in entering their chosen fields. In fact, 96 percent of students seeking employment who graduated in 2000 reported being employed within six months of graduation, 60 percent of them within their major area. |

Built prior to 1810, Alumni Hall is among the oldest buildings on the UD campus. Originally built as a private residence, Alumni Hall has had numerous functions since it was acquired by the University in 1908: fraternity house, YMCA, library, local draft board headquarters during World War I, and hospital during the great influenza epidemic of 1918. Alumni Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since 1940, Alumni Hall has housed the Office of Alumni and University Relations, which conducts programs and activities for University community and its alumni. The office serves as a liaison between UD and the Alumni Association Board of Directors, representing the worldwide alumni body of almost 116,000 living alumni. The Office also coordinates numerous campus events, such as Homecoming, Freshman Family Weekend, Parents and Family Weekend, Winter and Spring Commencements, New Student Convocation, Honors Day and performing arts programming, as well as class reunions and alumni chapter events. The Office of Alumni and University Relations also offers career services and job-hunting resources to alumni, in cooperation with the Bank of America Career Services Center. You can now see some more academic buildings in the colleges, or skip to the Campus Life section. |
