TeX and LaTeX2e
UDThesis
Layout Files
Graduate Students and Senior Theses Students
The TeX and LaTeX2e UDThesis Layout Files are macros and/or document classes designed to format theses, dissertations, executive position papers and senior theses according to the University of Delaware's Thesis and Dissertation Manual 1997 published by the Office of Graduate Studies. They provide the correct margin width as well as proper heading and page number placement. In addition, special commands are available for automatic formatting of the title and approval page, table of contents, list of figures, list of tables, appendices and the facility to cite bibliographic references and cross-reference equations, chapters, appendices, page numbers and more.
Note: These macros are designed to be used with TeX or LaTeX2e. Make sure you check for the latest titles for the signatures on your document. You must have the latest versions of the layouts for TeX and LaTeX to get the correct signatures in your document.
LaTeX2e
In general, unless you are already familiar with TeX, you will want to use the LaTeX2e layouts. LaTeX2e is easier to learn and use, so I would recommend using the layouts over TeX. If you plan to use bibtex to build your references for your document, then you will want to get the bibtex styles and macros too. To download LaTeX2e layouts,
