Responsible computing practices
Given the number of people now "online," understanding and following responsible computing practices are more important than ever.

Approximately 96 percent of the University's students use computing for one or more of their classes or for their own e-mail and research purposes. And, more and more of the University's official business is conducted online.

For example, 2,120 online applications for admission were received this year by UD. This figure is twice as many as last year.

All members of the campus community are touched in some way by information
        technologies.

This issue of TechTalk includes information about assessing your knowledge of UD practices and procedures, which can be used to manage files, prevent data loss and ensure privacy. It also outlines some of the guidelines about the use of campus e-mail and presents an overview of how copyright laws pertain to an academic environment.
