MINITAB capabilities include:
The UNIX version of MINITAB is available on Strauss and Brahms. Under UNIX, if you want high resolution graphics, you must generally use MINITAB on an X terminal. You may also use an X terminal emulator or Tektronix 4100, 4200, 4300 terminal emulator or microcomputer.
The Windows version of MINITAB is available at the following campus sites:
There is both a full version of MINITAB and a lower cost, less capable, Student Edition of MINITAB. The Windows and Macintosh full version of MINITAB are sold at the University Bookstore. The Student Edition of MINITAB is available from Addison-Wesley (1-800-822-6339).
At the UNIX prompt (%) type
% mtb
To terminate the MINITAB session, type
MTB > stop
at the MINITAB prompt (MTB >)
Instructions for generating MINITAB graphics are provided within the MINITAB program via MINITAB's on-line help (e.g., "help plot") and in the MINITAB Graphics Manual.

The command to run MINITAB is mtb, not minitab. Furthermore, MINITAB cannot be run on Copland.
Answer:
To increase the worksheet size from the default value of 198000 cells, set the environment variable "MINISIZE" to the desired value. The maximum value for MINISIZE is approximately 2090000.
