Configuring Your Browser to Enable Pop-up Windows for Trusted UD Servers
If you use University Web Forms, the
browser you use may need to be configured to accept pop-up windows from
the chico.nss.udel.edu server. You may also need to configure your browser to accept pop-up windows from the woodenshoe.nss.udel.edu server for UDSIS; www.lib.udel.edu for the library and delcat.udel.edu for delcat; cognos.udel.edu server for Cognos access, etc.
To configure your
browser to accept pop-up windows from these UD sites, follow the appropriate
instructions for your computer and browser as outlined below.

Firefox 2.0.x
- Open the browser.
- From the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Content icon located across the top of the window.
- Click the Exceptions button located to the right of Block pop-up windows.
- You will see the Allowed Sites dialog box.
- To enable the browser to recognize UD servers as trusted sites and, therefore, enable pop-ups from these sites, in the Address of web site field, type
the site's URL. For example, if you want to add the UD Library site, type
www.lib.udel.edu
and then click Allow.
- Follow steps 1-6 to add other UD trusted sites, including:
chico.nss.udel.edu
delcat.udel.edu
woodenshoe.nss.udel.edu
primus.nss.udel.edu
cognos.udel.edu
- Click OK when you finish adding the sites you want.
- Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
Mozilla

- Open the browser.
- From the Edit menu, click
Preferences.
- In the left column,
double-click Privacy & Security.
- Click
Popup Windows.
- Click in the check box in front
of Block unrequested popup windows.
- Click
Allowed Sites.
- In the blank field,
type
www.lib.udel.edu
- Click Add.
- In the blank field,
type
chico.nss.udel.edu
- Click Add.
- In the blank field,
type
delcat.udel.edu
- Click Add.
- In the blank field,
type
woodenshoe.nss.udel.edu
- In the blank field,

- Click Add.
- In the blank field,

- Click Add.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.

- Open the browser.
- From the
Tools menu, click Pop-up Blocker.
- Click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
- In the Address of website to

- Click Add.
- In the Address of website to
allow field, type

- Click Add.
- In the Address of website to
allow field, type
delcat.udel.edu
- Click Add.
- In the Address of website to
allow field, type
