Microsoft Campus Agreement

The University of Delaware has signed an agreement with Microsoft to give departments and institutional users fast and easy access to the most current enterprise software from Microsoft.

The Microsoft Campus Agreement entitles all departments—and every faculty and staff member—to licenses for Windows operating system upgrades, Microsoft Office for Windows, Microsoft Office for Mac, and the entire Microsoft Enterprise CAL Suite, which affords client access licensing (CAL) for connection to Microsoft's most popular server products such as Windows Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, and others. These products are to be installed on University-owned computers for institutional use only. However, a "work-at-home" provision for installation on a personal computer used for work-related purposes only is permitted.

The software included in the agreement consists of the following:

  1. Windows 7 Enterprise Upgrade
  2. Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 and Microsoft Office 2011 Mac
  3. Microsoft Enterprise Client Access License (CAL) Suite, which includes the following server CALs:

NOTE
This agreement also includes the option of installing a downgrade version (i.e., a previous version) in place of the current licensed version of a software title. For example, you may choose to install the Windows XP Professional operating system instead of the Windows Vista Enterprise operating system.
