disk space limits and your UDelNet account

How does the Inbox disk space limit relate to my UDelNet account? UD places a limit on the amount of disk space that can be used by the Inbox of each UD UDelNet account. As with overall disk quota limits, the Inbox disk space limit is designed to ensure that the central system works efficiently for all users. Each evening, a program runs on the central system that automatically sends a warning to all accounts with an Inbox size greater than 10MB. If the Inbox reaches the maximum limit allowed, the Inbox will be archived and taken off the central system. NOTE What are the responsibilities of UDelNet account holders? As a provision of the Responsible Computing Policy, UDelNet account holders are required to maintain their own accounts. The pages associated with this site will help you better understand your Inbox disk quota limit and how to manage it more effectively. IT staff can not log in directly to anyone else's account to perform routine file management tasks. This responsibility lies with the account holder. |
