How
to Print Pine Mail Messages
You can print messages.
However, you must first configure the Pine Mail program to use the printer
to which you want your messages printed.
Important Note
The default printer for the Pine Mail program is a laser printer in Smith Hall.
If you choose to use this printer, you can pick up your output in room 004
Smith Hall (I/O). You can, however, change the default printer to one attached to
your computer.

Important Note
To change the default printer setting so that you can print to the printer attached
to your computer, you must have the SSH Secure Shell software installed on your
computer. You cannot print to the printer attached to your computer
if you use Windows 98 and the telnet program.
Both on- and off-campus students can get a free copy of the SSH Secure Shell
software from the UDeploy web site.
To change the default settings for your printer, follow these steps:
- At the Main Menu screen, press S to select
Setup.
- Press P to select Printer.
- Press the ARROW key(s)
to highlight your choice. If you want to use the printer connected to
your computer, select attached-to-ansi.
- Press S to select the option you've highlighted.
- Press E to select Exit Setup.
- Press Y to select Yes. At the bottom
of the screen, you should see the following program message:
