After you compose a message, you can choose to send it, postpone it (send it later), or cancel it.
At the bottom of this screen you should see the following program prompt:
Send message?
You have the choice whether to send the message or not: press Y to send the message or N not to send the message.

Important Note
Once you send a message, you cannot retrieve it. (However,
if you want to see a copy of the message you sent, one is saved in your sent-mail
folder.)
If you had composed a message but decided to send it later (so you won't have to type it again), you can postpone the message.
At the bottom of this screen you should see the following program prompt:
Composition postponed. Select Compose to resume.
At the bottom of this screen you should see the following program prompt:
Continue postponed composition (answering No won't erase it)?
You can select to continue composing the postponed message or not: press Y to continue composing the message or press N to stop composing the message.
Note
If you want to compose a new message while you have a postponed message, press
N. When you start a new message, the postponed message will
be saved in a folder called postponed-msgs, which is created
automatically by the Pine Mail program.
The first time you postpone a message, the program will prompt you to create the file. Press Y to select yes.
Cancel message (answering Yes will abandon your mail message)?
Important Note
If you press
Y in response to the cancel
prompt,
you will not be able to return to your cancelled message.
Instead, you will see the following program message at the bottom of
the screen:
Message cancelled and copied to dead.letter file
The dead.letter file is created automatically by the Pine Mail program.
