How to Read Pine Mail Messages

At the Main Menu screen, press I to select Message Index. You will see a list of "message headers" for your current unread messages.
Important Note
You can see how large each message in your Inbox is on the Message Index screen. The size of each message is contained in parentheses right before the subject of the message. For example, the message in the following example screen has a message whose size is 886. If you see the letter K after the number (e.g., 886K), then the file is 886 Kilobytes. Remember, the larger the number, the larger the file.
The screen should look similar to the following:

To scroll through the message headers, press the ARROW key(s).
Press ENTER when the header of the message you want to read is highlighted.
In the following example, you see the full header for the new message, including the date, the sender, the recipient (you), and the subject. Below the header is the content of the message.
