How to Use the Pine Mail Program

The Pine Mail program is an easy-to-use electronic mail (e-mail) program, which runs on the University of Delaware's (UD) central e-mail server called "mail.udel.edu." (You may also see this server referred to as "copland.udel.edu" in other materials.)

Pine Mail is a menu-driven program--a list of options you can use is displayed on the screen. To select an option, you press the indicated key or key combination.

Important Note
The Pine Mail program runs on many platforms (UNIX, Windows, etc.). For use at UD, you will find it easiest to run it on the central UNIX system named "mail.udel.edu" (or "copland.udel.edu"). There is no charge to do so.
