Can't delete messges in Netscape Messenger

Remember: You may not have to perform all of these steps. After each step, check to see if the problem still occurs. If not, go to the next step. If you've completed all the steps, call the Help Center at 831-6000, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

  1. Be sure that you have only one e-mail window open at at time. To verify this for Netscape, go to File/Exit and then restart your e-mail. (Update is not permitted if you have two Netscape Messenger windows or one Netscape Messenger window and a Pine window open at the same time. Messages will not appear to be deleted.)

  2. If this is not the case, and you still cannot delete messages, you may be over quota and need to delete message using Pine e-mail.
