How to see the size column for e-mail messages
To see the size of an e-mail messages in Mozilla Mail, you can set up the message screen so that a message Size column on the message screen is easy to view.
How to identify large e-mail messages You can easily identify large messages by looking at the Size column and noting the number of bytes in a message. The larger the number of bytes, the larger the message. For example, if you see a message with the number "847" in the Size column, that message contains 847 bytes. If you see a message with the number "847KB" in the Size column, then that message is 1,000 times larger than the other one. (One K equals approximately 1,000 bytes.) Delete any large messages you no longer need the way you normally delete a message. Important
For messages you must keep, save them in Local Folders (which are on your desktop computer and, therefore, do not affect your disk quota on the central mail server). |
