From the
Edit Menu, click Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.

The Account
Name field should contain the following:

The Your
Name field should contain your name (e.g., Jane Doe).

The
Email Address field should contain your UDelNet_ID followed by @udel.edu (e.g., jane@udel.edu).

The Organization field
should contain University of Delaware.

Click
Server Settings in the left column.

The
Server Type field should contain IMAP
Mail Server (Note: If you want to use a POP Mail
Server, you need to set up a new account).

The Server
Name field should contain mail.udel.edu.

The Server
Settings should be as follows:

Use secure connection (SSL)

Use secure authentication

[checked]
Check for new messages at startup

[checked]
Check for new messages every 10 minutes
- When
I delete messages [Mark it as deleted] (from the drop-down arrow)

Cleanup ("Expunge") Inbox on Exit
- [checked]
Empty Trash on Exit
- Click Outgoing
Server (SMTP) in left column.
- The Server
Name field should contain mail.udel.edu
- Configure the LDAP server (which allows you to search for addresses at the University automatically) by following these directions.
