Introduction to Mozilla 1.7.x customized for UD

These instructions are written for individuals who want to install the UD customized version of Mozilla 1.7.x to use its browser program (called Mozilla Navigator) or its e-mail program (called Mozilla Mail).

Do use these instructions efficiently, you should have experience with the following:

  • The Windows operating system,
  • Windows dialog boxes, windows, and buttons,
  • Internet links, and
  • the basics of using an e-mail program.

You must also have the following:

  1. The Mozilla program installed on your desktop computer. You can download, install and configure a free UD-customized version.
  2. If you want to use the Mozilla Mail program, you must have an active UDelNet e-mail account, and you must know your UDelNet ID (previously called your username) and password for your UDelNet account.

The responsibility of UDelNet account holders

As a provision of the Responsible Computing Policy, UDelNet account holders are required to maintain their own accounts. IT staff can not log in directly to anyone else's account. All routine file management tasks are the responsibility of the account holder.
