Conversion Instructions for Users of a non-UD copy of Mozilla

These directions are for users of Mozilla for Windows not customized by the Unviersity of Delaware.

    1. Start Mozilla 1.7 mail as you ordinarily would. Open up Mozilla Mail.

      You will need to check the Servers settings on your account.

    2. From Mozilla Mail's Edit menu, select Mail & Newsgroups Settings.

    3. In the left-hand window pane, select Server Settings. Make sure that the server name in the right-hand window pane is set to
      mail.udel.edu

      In addition, make sure that the checkbox next to Use secure connection (SSL) is checked.

    4. Click Advanced, then select the IMAP tab. Make sure that the text box next to IMAP server directory: is blank. (You may have to erase "mail/" from this box.) Click OK.

    5. In the left-hand window pane, select Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). Make sure that the server name in the right-hand window pane is set to
      mail.udel.edu

      In addition, under Use secure connection, select TLS.

    6. Click OK.
