"Clickers" - adding names and udelnet ids to the prs roster

Faculty who would like to associate their student's names and UDelNet IDs in their PRS Roster can do so with a conversion program. This program takes the UD IDs from your existing PRS class roster and matches it up with the corresponding names and UDelNet IDs (Net IDs). An example of the roster prior to conversion and after conversion is shown below. There are also step by step instructions if needed to help you with this process.

Detailed steps for conversion process:

1. Locate class PRS roster and make a backup copy
   • If you did not change the default folders at installation, go to C:...\MyDocuments\PRS\Roster, otherwise go to the location you specified.
   • Select the appropriate roster file, right-click and Copy the file for backup purposes.
   • Right-click anywhere in the folder and Paste the copied file.
2. Retrieve names and UDelNet IDs (Firefox)
   • Using conversion program browse to saved name.csv file in the Roster folder
   • Select the option --> PRS Clicker: Convert to UDelNet ID (User ID) and click CONVERT.
   • To save converted file, select File | Save Page As | File name: name.csv | Save as type: Text Files.
     NOTE: name.csv should be the same as the original roster file.
3. Retrieve the names and UDelNet IDs (Internet Explorer)
   • Using conversion program browse to saved name.csv file in the Roster folder.
   • Select the option --> PRS Clicker: Convert to UDelNet ID (User ID) and click CONVERT.
   • Copy the new data
   • Edit | Select All
   • Edit | Copy
   • Go to C:...\MyDocuments\PRS\Roster.
   • Right-click the name.csv roster file and Open With Notepad.
   • Replace the old data with the new:
   • Edit | Select All
   • Edit | Paste
   • File | Save
   • File | Exit
4. Add the UDelNet IDs (Net IDs) and names to the PRS roster
   • Click the Class tab in the PRS Software and select Import/Merge Roster
   • Select Merge with current roster | OK
   • In the Roster folder select the converted roster file | Open
   • Merge new file
