The Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of Delaware is located in Newark, DE. Newark is an ideal location for professional theatre training because of its close proximity and easy access to the many professional theatres of the Northeast.

New York City, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Princeton, with their many regional, repertory, and commercial theatre companies, are all within a short distance from the campus. Students can easily attend performances at leading theatres including: on and off Broadway, Arena Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, Delaware Theatre Company, Arden Theatre, Walnut St. Theatre and McCarter Theatre

Philadelphia is 60 minutes by car; 36 minutes by train.
Baltimore is a 60 minute by car; 34 minutes by train.
Washington, D.C. is two hours by car; one hour 20 minutes by train.
New York City is two and a half hours by car; two hours by train.
