Brilliant swordplay and sparkling wordplay delight in this elegant tale of unrequited love. One of the theatre’s most memorable figures, Cyrano is a master swordsman and a gallant poet with a pronounced nose and an undying, yet unrevealed, love for his cousin Roxane. When Roxane falls for Christian, a handsome cadet, Cyrano sacrifices his own happiness and bequeaths to his rival the words to woo the lady they both love. Cyrano De Bergerac, in repertory with the PTTP’s production of Peter Pan, will unveil the gorgeous Thompson Theatre in the University’s new Center for the Arts.
