Along with all of the great benefits, such as the $1500 stipend
and the chance to meet children's authors and historians,
there are some requirements in order to be selected and to
continue with the program.
Participant Requirements:
- Strong desire to improve his/her American history content
knowledge
- Strong desire to improve his/her knowledge of history
and literacy teaching strategies
- Commitment to be an active participant in all of the
week-end workshops and the summer seminar (see schedule)
- Selection as district representative by central office
staff
