The Educational Testing Service developed new computerized Praxis I tests that were implemented in January 2002. The State of PA will accept the paper-pencil or computer test scores for Praxis I taken after January 16, 2002. If you plan to seek certification in the State of PA when you graduate, please check the date on which you took the Praxis I tests. If you took them by computer prior to January 16, 2002, the State of PA will not accept them. You will need to retake them. New requirements for certification, effective Fall 2003.
