Scheduling visits

See the Delaware Difference for yourself

Because it is challenging to convey the quality of our academic programs and camaraderie of our community members, we find that once people take the time to visit, they are convinced that the University of Delaware is the place for them.

Visitors are welcome to attend our annual Open House in early December or we are happy to set up personalized visits for prospective students. Visits usually entail a meeting with at least one faculty member and a current student. Here are steps to scheduling a visit:

  1. In order to facilitate the process, we ask that you thoroughly review this web site prior to your visit so that you will be well-versed and can have a better conversation with faculty members.

  2. Next, to help us facilitate our conversations with you, please assemble your resume or submit a brief statement including your undergraduate or previous graduate institution(s) and major, overall GPA, and GRE scores, if available. Also let us know the degree program(s) you are considering and your interest areas.

  3. Contact the School's Administrative Assistant at suapp@udel.edu or phone 302-831-1687 with a few times that are convenient for your visit. She'll coordinate with you and the folks you'd likely meet during your visit.

Open House

Scheduled annually for the first Friday in December, the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy's Open House will give visitors an overview of the School, academic programs and opportunities for research assistantships and financial aid.

For more information, please email Christina Johnston, Graduate Admissions Coordinator and Assistant to the Director at cmj@udel.edu.

Diversity Weekend

The School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy strongly values diversity and therefore encourages applications from students of diverse backgrounds. To that end, Diversity Weekend, an on-campus visitation program, will be held in November 200 for students from underrepresented groups who are strongly considering graduate programs in the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy and who are likely to meet admissions requirements.

For more information, please email Christina Johnston, Graduate Admissions Coordinator and Assistant to the Director at cmj@udel.edu.
