Theresa has worked for the University of Delaware since January 2008, transferring to the office of New Student Orientation in August 2009. After graduating from a local Delaware high school, Theresa traveled with her husband, living in Florida, New York, and Tennessee, before moving back to Delaware to start her family. Prior to working at UD, Theresa worked for several local real estate companies.
Within NSO, Theresa works closely with the director and program coordinator to facilitate the freshmen, transfer, and international student orientation programs as well as programming for parents and guests. During the summer, Theresa manages NSO Headquarters, working closely with the staff of the University’s seven colleges to ensure students meet with an advisor during NSO and are scheduled to attend other important programming during their day on campus. In addition to NSO, Theresa provides support to 1743 Welcome Days and Summit, and she maintains the budget and payroll for the NSO Office.
Theresa lives in Middletown, DE with her husband and youngest daughter. She is the proud parent of two Blue Hens! Her oldest daughter graduated from UD in May 2012 and her youngest will be joining UD in fall 2013 as a freshman. Theresa enjoys in the NSO Office because she gets to interact with students and their families. As a parent of a college student herself, Theresa understands how exciting and sometimes overwhelming this process can be and she hopes to use her experiences to help ease other parents' anxiety.
