Art History

Saint Charles, Illinois

First Year Residence Hall:

Watching any documentary on Netflix, reading a good book, working out, cooking, playing “Heads Up” with my roommates, shopping, going to the reservoir on a nice day.

UD Involvement:

Blue Hen Ambassador, Admissions Blogger, member of the Art History club.

Advice for a new student:

Be patient, be open, and go to class! Do not compare your experiences with everyone elses, you are your own person on your own path. Expecting instant gratification will not lead to happiness. Most importantly, you will get out of it what you put in.

Advice for their parents:

Let your student flourish and be confident in who you raised them to be. Help them when they need it, but otherwise, let them discover all the nooks and crannies of their new home.

How I decided on my major:

I took an Impressionism course my first semester freshman year and absolutely fell in love with art history. It is a subject that I do well in but also one that makes me happy to go to class every day. It has taught me how to critically think, understand, and appreciate culture and history.

Favorite TV show:

Game of Thrones

Favorite song:

“New Slang” by The Shins

Favorite spot on Main Street:

Sante Fe (amazing fajitas for a good price!)

Plans after college:

Hopefully to get a job in the Higher Education field and figure out if I want to go to graduate school and for what.

Interesting fact:

Each one of my immediate family members lives in a different state!
